These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Alice & Bob mobile and web application and the marketing website at alicenbob.com (together, the "Service"), provided by Alice N Bob Inc ("Alice & Bob," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If local law in your jurisdiction requires a higher minimum age to consent to online services without parental involvement, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service, and we encourage parental supervision for teen users generally. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account.
  • You may create an account with an email and password, or sign in with a supported third-party provider (Google or Apple).
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly at hello@alicenbob.com of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security risk to the Service or other users.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service (e.g., scraping, reverse engineering, or automated abuse);
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Upload or transmit malicious code or content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringing.

4. The Service and content

Alice & Bob provides cybersecurity-education content, including lessons, quizzes, progress tracking, streaks, and social features such as friends and leaderboards. The Service is offered free of charge at this time; we may introduce paid features in the future, in which case we will provide notice and updated terms before charging you.

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We try to minimize disruption but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its lesson content, software, trademarks (including "Alice & Bob" and associated logos and characters), and design, is owned by Alice N Bob Inc or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as the Service's own functionality expressly allows (for example, downloading your own progress export).

6. Your data

Our collection and use of personal information in connection with the Service is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and associated data, use the app's settings or email hello@alicenbob.com; see the Privacy Policy for details. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users.

8. Disclaimers

The Service, including its educational content, is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Alice & Bob is an educational tool and does not guarantee that following its lessons will prevent security incidents, data breaches, or other harm.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alice N Bob Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continuing to use the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in our jurisdiction of incorporation, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise for users residing elsewhere.
